Be Safe, Get Informed, Live Well
The first thing to know about your headache is that you are SAFE.
When you are safe you are one step closer to being in control.
If you never feel safe, you will never feel in control.
Most people who struggle with headaches have Migraine, or Chronic Migraine.
My approach is to try and help you understand your situation.
The first step is to know you are not in DANGER.
Knowledge is Power
Research proves that if you understand pain, you experience less pain.
Knowledge IS power!
As a Consultant Neurologist, almost 30% of people who see me report severe headaches.
I do not know the cause for every headache.
It would be foolish to pretend to know the cause every time.
The idea of ’cause and effect’ does not work for most people with headache.
In most cases no ’cause’ is found.
You cannot rely on ‘Cause and Effect’ to explain most headaches.
This idea is old-fashioned and unhelpful.
If there is no cause you can never feel in control.
There is a better way.
Reduce the Risk of Pain
Instead of searching for the cause, it’s much better to accept your headaches.
Once you accept headaches, you can then do whatever you can to reduce the risk of headache.
Take every step to reduce the risk of headache.
Take every chance to help you cope better.
Feel safe and in control.
The Headache Friendly Lifestyle™ is a blend of
- correctly-used medications
- drug-free treatments that work
- good lifestyle habits and
- healthy thinking.
The Headache Friendly Lifestyle™ does not focus on causes or triggers – it a completely new concept.

If so – you need a different way of doing things.
You need to get in control.
